MEDICAL EXAMINATION
After being called by your reference number, you will be examined by a doctor who will evaluate your current situation and medical history.
At this stage, the following may be requested:
- Radiological examinations
- Blood tests
- Specialist evaluations
The doctor may prescribe medications to be administered in tablet form or intravenously.
What happens after the examination
Unit 1:
You are in an area dedicated to initial evaluation and treatment. You will be kept informed about the progress of your tests and your condition.
Unit 2:
You are waiting for a bed in this hospital or another contracted hospital, which will be provided to you as soon as it becomes available.
Unit 3 – Minor Emergencies:
You are in an area dedicated to evaluation and treatment.
The choice of a chair or a stretcher is determined by the staff based on the individual needs of the patients.
What to do while waiting
Avoid leaving the area without informing the staff to ensure your care process is not delayed.
If your symptoms change or worsen, please notify the staff on duty immediately.
Food, drinks, and smoking
Do not eat or drink without first asking a doctor or nurse. Remember that some tests require fasting.
Your companions
The people accompanying you are in the family waiting room.

IMPORTANT: visiting hours are posted at the entrance of each emergency department area and can be requested at the FAMILY RECEPTION DESK.
Wi-Fi Connection
A Wi-Fi network is available within the emergency department for you to connect to while waiting.
